Dearest Cakes:

I had my first game of golf yesterday since I came from K. Colin Sword came for me and we played a 9 holes match – even at the end. He wants you to put him on the list for a Behind the Log – your first order for the fall. The book is expected to appear about the last of October.

Our routine here is breakfast at 9: office hours for me 10-12. Washing & other hours for mother the same. Lunch 12:30-1:30. Golf if possible and reading. Dinner, resting and writing then to bed.

Kingston, Ontario, where he had been teaching Summer School at Queen's University.
