Dear Mr Adams:

I want to thank you for your kindness in publishing in two successive issues of the Times a couple of poems from my 'Collected' Edition.

When I was at the University of Buffalo two weeks ago the Librarian, Charles Abbott, brought in the Times with the 'Sea-Gulls' on the Poetry Page. Your generosity warmed my heart.

I always read your articles with the keenest interest and enjoyment because you expound an aesthetic which I have been advocating for years.

It is very inspiring to Canadian writers to be getting a bit of recognition in the United States. My thanks to you personally.

Yours sincerely,
E.J. Pratt
