Dear Mr Editor:

I notice your August issue contains an appeal for funds. I hope your magazine survives. I look forward to your appearance every month. In this issue particularly I like 'The Criminal' and 'April' with its pungent line:

Ideologies carried out in bedpans.

Witty and damn true at times.

Please accept my cheque for 10.00. I wish it were larger, but it is the limit of my budget at present.

Yours sincerely,
E.J. Pratt
