Oct. 21, 1943

Dear Mr Blackshaw:

It was good to hear from you again. I remember your kind references to my work last year.

I had two poems on Dunkirk, (1) the long one published in book form two years ago and (2) the sonnet which has not appeared in a book though it did in a magazine.

I fear I am not at liberty to release the manuscript of the longer poem as I am obligated to deliver it to the University, but you are welcome to the enclosed.

Yours sincerely,
E.J. Pratt

Mr Blackshaw
