My dear Lorne:

Those poems you sent me are excellent. They are lovely etchings, delicate and sensitive.

I have just telephoned your office for an interview for A.J.M. Smith who is at present in the city. He has done a noble piece of work. We were sorry that Ryersons didn't get it but the University of Chicago Press handled it through their agents here. I know Paul Corbett knew of Smith's project at the beginning and became interested at once – I trust you will be favourably impressed when it comes out.
