Dearest:

The mouse took the cheese off the spring again last night – every crumb without being caught. I think I shall have to get inside the cupboard myself and nab it with my hands. Mrs Fraser cleaned up everything all right. Knox is joining the charcoal stag. I suppose now you and Cayke are about one hundred miles beyond North Bay. I am visualizing your trip.
