Jan. 21/1938

Dear Herbert:

Claire sends her love to you & thanks for the stamps. She will write you personally.

Vi and Claire will not be coming to Kingston so, if the appointment is made, I shall be alone. A Residence room would suit me if it were quiet as I am not the best of sleepers. I am quite satisfied if I can get a comfortable bed, an arm-chair for work and quiet – nothing pretentious. I suppose meals are easy to get – restaurant or otherwise.

See the letter to Clarke, 12 January 1938.
