My dear George

I have a new sonnet just written which I should like to submit to the 'Queen's Quarterly' — A Timeless Moment .

How are you anyway? Are you coming to Toronto through the Christmas vacation? If you do I can put you up at my house. We have moved into wider rooms; there is a spare bed, and I shall see to it that roast goose from seven to eight will ensure sound sleep from eleven to nine.

Affectionately
Ned Pratt

A Timeless Moment
Not published in Queen's Quarterly, it later appeared as 'To Any Astronomer' in Saturday Night (49 [24 March 1934], 2) and in Fable of the Goats.

wider rooms
In 1932, the Pratts had moved from 25 Tullis Drive to 21 Cortleigh Boulevard.
