I just picked these books of Gibbs up in Allen's shop yesterday. I thought that they would be interesting to you so I am sending them on with my compliments,
Munro was with me and thought they were in the Gibbs vein. Imagine dedicating a volume to the memory 'of a man now living' as he does in another.
'A Maritimer's Life' is the world's outstanding example of unstudied incoherence. What a jumble! Your 'Jameses' has a great vogue down here.
