A series of literature texts for the schools, The Canada Books of Prose and Verse, a joint publishing venture of Ryerson Press and Macmillan of Canada. Pierce was one of the editors as was Hugh Eayrs's wife, Dora Whitefield. Three volumes (grades VII, VIII and IX) were published in 1933 and three more later.
