Dear old Lorne,
'The Door' went across wonderfully with a capacity audience in the Palliser this afternoon. It took even better than the Cachalot. I was somewhat nervous about its reading for the first time. I had it only in manuscript but read it. At least twenty people of Calgary came up to see me personally about it and wondered if they could get a copy of it. It is about ready now. Many thankful memories of your own fine generous counsel upon the theme.
Am having a grand tour throughout. Appreciation is almost overwhelming.
