Abbreviations

Abbreviations for sources will be listed in the account of Editorial Policies and Procedures.

In the case of unpublished sources, MS will be used for holograph manuscript and TS for typescript.

When there is more than one manuscript or typescript, they will be distinguished by numerical suffixes (MS1, MS2, etc.).

When a manuscript or typescript has been revised, the revised version will be distinguished from the original by the suffix rev (MSrev, TSrev). When the manuscript or typescript has been revised more than once, the revisions will be distinguished by numerical suffixes (MSrev1, MSrev2, etc.).

In the case of typescripts, top copies and carbon copies will be treated as a single version. Thus, in the case of Behind the Log, two revised typesripts, the first a carbon copy of the second, are treated as three separate versions:
