The Public Texts program is the only M.A. in English Literature in Canada to offer you three ways to complete your degree:  by Major Research Paper, by Thesis or by Internship.

Whichever path you choose, you will receive exceptional training in fields of inquiry that are receiving growing academic attention throughout the world: the electronic production and circulation of texts, oral performance traditions, the relationship between text and image, theories of publics, and the history of the book. Whichever way you choose to complete it, the M.A. in Public Texts gives you a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting intellectual community actively engaged in considering theoretical, historical and practical aspects of the production and reception of texts.

Part-time
Students may pursue their M.A. degree on a part-time basis. The minimum time for completion for part-time students will be 2 years and the maximum time will be 5 years.

Humber College Option

Students enrolled in the Creative Book Publishing Program will spend their third semester at Humber College. They will then have an extra semester to complete their degree at Trent.
