Admission into the Program is very competitive. Last year we had close to 1100 applications for 140 spaces.  Admission is based on grades and a Personal Statement of Experience (PSE).

How to Apply from High School:

  • OUAC codes are RE (Arts) or RT (Science).  Applications must be received by OUAC by January 11, 2012.
  • All applicants must submit a Personal Statement of Experience (PSE) by the March 1, 2012 deadline.
  • Make sure to use the correct PSE form as Trent has many different Education programs.
  • Students must successfully complete the requirements for secondary school graduation.  A minimum average of 80% or higher is required on courses considered for admission.
  • Students are required to complete six 4U/M courses - including English 4U plus a minimum of two additional 4U courses.
  • 140 spaces are available annually.
  • The Guide to Completing the Personal Statement of Experience (PSE) can be printed from the right column of this page.
  • Read the Guide to Completing the PSE, print the PSE Cover Sheet from the right column of this page and return the completed PSE by March 1, 2012 to the Office of the Registrar, Blackburn Hall, 1600 West Bank Drive, Trent University, Peterborough, ON, K9J 7B8.
  • If you have applied to both the Concurrent Education program at Trent and the Concurrent Education program at Queen's, you need to complete a Personal Statement of Experience for both of these programs and meet their respective deadlines.
