Hong Kong, on the South China Sea, is renowned for its expansive skyline and deep natural harbour. With land mass of 1,104 km2 (426 sq mi) and a population of seven million people, the city is one of the most densely populated areas in the world. As a special administrative region of the People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong is one of the world's leading international financial centres, with a major capitalist service economy. The Hong Kong dollar is the 9th most traded currency in the world.
In his native Hong Kong, Justin Chiu is described as one of the most inspired and innovative property developers in the city. Justin graduated from Trent in 1978 with a joint degree in Sociology and Economics. He is currently an Executive Director of Cheung Kong (Holdings) Limited.
As a fully-integrated, multi-discipline property development company, Cheung Kong Holdings is one of the largest developers of residential, office, retail, industrial, and hotel property in Hong Kong. With its long history of property development expertise, Cheung Kong Holdings has built many of Hong Kong's most notable landmark buildings and complexes. The company is also a leader in marketing and after-sales services. Its sales, leasing, and building management departments provide comprehensive services to clients and customers, fulfilling its ambition of meeting every property need that purchasers and tenants may have.
Trent interns will be provided an apartment in Hong Kong, and will be employed full-time in property development or hotel management areas of Cheung Kong Holdings, as possible in accordance with their skills and experience. Self-motivated, flexible and dedicated students with a track record of successful project implementation and/or employment experience will be competitive for this internship.
