Taking Action

Now that you have narrowed your choices, it is time to make a plan for action.  Depending on your decision, your action plan may include looking for work, learning how to effectively network, contacting graduate schools or colleges, or taking some time off.

The following resources can assist you in this endeavor:

• Develop an effective work search plan by identifying, researching and contacting potential employers. 
• Match your skills and experiences to the opportunities your are exploring
• Find job opportunities - on/off-campus, after graduation
• Investigate experiential learning opportunities like internships, studying abroad, volunteering, extra-curricular activities.
• Access your 'network' through informational interviews.
• Develop effective résumés and cover letters.
• Practice effective interview skills.
• Evaluate further education possibilities.
