The purpose of the annual
newsletter, published on the web each January, is to help us keep in touch, hear about one another's work,
and take stock of the past year's developments in the department. The "us" here includes not only present
faculty, staff, graduate students and undergraduate majors, but also alumni and others formerly associated
with the department who have since moved on.
