- B.A.Hons in Classical Archaeology (Wilfrid Laurier), M.A., Ph.D. in Classical Studies (McMaster)
- Jennifer's interests focus on Roman archaeology, particularly the archaeology of ancient North Africa, religious and funerary practices, the archaeology of the Roman economy (especially through ceramics analysis), and acculturation and cultural identity.
- She has been participating in archaeological work in Tunisia (North Africa), since 1992, starting in Carthage.
- In 1995, she joined the Leptiminus Archaeological Project as a ceramics analyst for excavations at a Roman port city in the Tunisian Sahel; she is now both a ceramics analyst and co-director of the field school for that Project.
- She joined the Department of Ancient History & Classics at Trent University in 1999 and has since taught courses there on the archaeology of the ancient Mediterranean (from the Bronze Age Aegean and Egypt through the Greek, Etruscan, and Roman cultures), including an archaeological tour in Greece and both tour and field courses in Tunisia; Roman history (covering periods from the Late Republic to the reign of Diocletian); and the ancient Greek and Latin languages.
