Personal information in the custody of the University is treated very confidentially in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.
Departments at Trent strive to collect only personal information that is specifically required to operate the University’s programs, services and activities, and to inform individuals fully about how their information is used. Records are maintained and disposed of securely, and access is limited to those individuals who require the information to perform their duties for the University.

Records that are not subject to privacy legislation; for example, employment-related records that are excluded from FIPPA, will continue to be protected in accordance with University policies and collective agreements.
