The PSR is a peer-reviewed journal devoted to
promoting interdisciplinary scholarly study of the countries, regions,
and communities that share, build on, or are transforming a Portuguese
or Brazilian legacy. The PSR promotes a critical understanding of the
historical and current evolution of political, economic, social and cultural
networks incorporating Portugal, Brazil, and the various global or regional
actors affected by Luso-Brazilian exploration, colonization, emigration,
policy trends, trade agreements, and other linkages.

The PSR's scope extends to all relevant parts of Europe,
Asia, Africa, and the Americas. Contributions
are invited from all disciplines. Particularly welcome are the fields
of history, geography, economics, political science, international relations,
sociology, policy studies, anthropology, ethnography and folklore, archaeology,
cultural studies, and cultural and natural heritage conservation. The
PSR also accommodates related discussions of methodology,
critical theory, and metatheory. The Review is committed to methodological
pluralism. We accept papers combining pure and applied research.
All articles are expected to be accessible to readers from diverse
backgrounds.
