Access and Terms of Use for Electronic Resources
What is an e-resource?
Trent University Library subscribes to a number of different of electronic resources such as journal article indexes, full text and primary documents, e-journals, e-reference tools, and e-books. These are resources that can only be viewed on a computer. They are often called online resources, because they are available over the internet. A few of our e-resources are on CD-ROM and only available on campus.
If you are searching from off-campus (including residence rooms), you will be asked to login to the proxy server before you can connect to a resource. If you have trouble, see the instructions for off-campus access.

The print version of BNA was completed in 2002, a joint 10 year project of the American Ornithologists' Union, the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, and the Academy of Natural Sciences. This series provides detailed scientific information (18 volumes, 18,000 pages in total) for each of the 716 species of birds nesting in the USA and Canada. BNA Online includes image and video galleries showing behaviors, habitat, nests, eggs and nestlings, and recordings of that bird's songs and calls, selected from the extensive collection in Cornell's Macaulay Library of Natural Sounds. | House of Commons Parliamentary Papers |
Between 1801 and 2000, around 9.5 million pages for over 184,000 British parliamentary papers were published. HCPP delivers searchable full text for each paper, along with a detailed index. HCPP currently contains an index for 1801-2004, and full text for 1840-1891 and 1901-1904. The 19th century will be complete by early 2006, with the 20th century following later in the year.
