Trent University Theses

Archival hard copies of all theses produced by Trent University students are preserved in the Archives. They are arranged on our shelves alphabetically by author. All theses (Masters, PhD, and Honours) are catalogued in TOPCAT. Researchers may examine the hard copy theses in the Archives Reading Room - they do not circulate.

Researchers should also note that Trent Masters theses for the years 1998 to 2002 are available in full text online at the Theses Canada Portal.

Many Trent full-text Masters and PhD theses are also available on-line to those with a Trent account through the Proquest Database: Dissertations & Theses: Full Text . This resource indexes worldwide theses from 1861 to the present. Generally, abstracts are included plus full-text access to many theses published after 1980. Proquest took over the former company which was responsible for abstracting and producing microfiche for Theses Canada. This is therefore the preferred database to use. It includes all the electronic theses in Theses Canada (1998-2002) plus many more.

Honours theses are available only in hard copy in the Archives Reading Room.
