Steps for a Successful learningSystem Experience
The following essential steps will help you to successfully access, log in to and use the learningSystem@Trent:
- Do a browser tuneup from the left menu of this page: Browser Tuneup We are using Campus Edition 8.0.
Check
that your browser version is supported and if Java is enabled. If your
browser or Java is not valid, a warning message will be displayed:
If
when you login to the learningSystem you receive all green" checkmarks,
you can successfully access the learningSystem environment.
If
when you login to the learningSystem you receive a red "x" for any
area, you must resolve the detected issue before you continue.
Cookies
must be enabled, Javascript must be enabled, Pop-Up windows must NOT be
blocked for webct.trentu.ca and Java must be enabled.
Please
take the 5-10 minutes that it will take to set up your computer, so
that your experience of using theLearningSystem will be as smooth as
possible.
- Upon initial login, "Accept the Java Security Certificate"
You must always accept this certificate for the system to operate effectively.
- Access "Troubleshooting" from the left menu of this page for any common problem descriptions.
- Use the "Report a Problem" link from the left menu of this page to report your difficulties - -
please describe your issue fully for the best response.
