About
The Acrobat Reader & Portable Document Format (PDF)
Introduction
to Adobe Acrobat and Portable Document Format (PDF)
Many documents
on Trent's WebCT site are published using Adobe's®
Portable Document Format (PDF) and may be displayed
or printed exactly as when they were created -- with
no font or display loss. To view or print the
document, you must download the free Acrobat®
Reader from the Adobe
web site. The Acrobat® Reader allows anyone
to view, navigate, and print PDF documents.
To
Install the Free Adobe Acrobat® Reader:
- Read
through the steps provided on Adobe's site and select
the correct version of the plugin for your computer.
- When
the download is complete, click on the downloaded
file to install the plugin and follow the directions
on your screen.
- When
the setup is finished, the plugin will be installed.
You can then
click any PDF file to view, navigate, or print it. For
assistance in troubleshooting problems with Acrobat®
Reader, please refer to Acrobat
Customer Support and the Reader's online help.
Information on PDF access for the visually impaired may
be found on the Access
at Adobe web site.
Printing
from the Adobe Reader:
To ensure that you print only the document that you are interested in, and not the entire learningSystem window,
print with the Adobe Print Icon found in the
top left corner of the Adobe Display Window and NOT THE BROWSER PRINT BUTTON, or "File", "Print".
