Jagger (Grace Cullen ‘08)
Head of Junior Camp

Jagger is a former TSSC camper and completed the very first LIT program here before becoming a counsellor. Jagger graduated from Trent University with an Arts degree in history and French. She plans to attend Teacher’s College at Queen’s in the fall. This winter Jagger has spent four months travelling through New Zealand, Australia and South Africa with Yookie and Pinkie. Jagger is excited about her new role as Junior Head, she has previously been the Nature Coordinator for two years. She has been a Varsity Rower for the past four years and is excited to utilize to teach campers how to row and dragon boat! Jagger is looking forward to keep old TSSC traditions alive while incorporating new ideas to create amazing programs this summer!

Yookie (Kristine Boyles '07)
Head of Senior Camp

Yookie just completed her undergrad in Biology at Trent University. She is attending teachers college in the fall with aspirations to be a highschool teacher. In the summer time Yookie plays on the Peterborough Womens' Soccer Team, the Peterborough Pagans Womens' Rugby Team, coaches the Pagans mini rugby program, and referees soccer. This is Yookie's 6th year at camp and her 3rd year as a senior staff member. She just finished traveling Australia and New Zealand with Pinkie and Jagger and cannot wait to be back at camp!

Kixx (Frankie Perrin'10)
Wellness Director

Kixx is a Peterborough native and attended TSSC for 5 years as a camper. Kixx is currently enrolled in her third year at Trent University studying Environmental Resources and History at Trent. She is in the Primary/Junior division of the Queen’s- Trent Concurrent Education Program. Kixx hopes to one day work at an outdoor education centre (or at least that is the plan right now). You can find Kixx year round at the Trent Athletics Centre working at the Member Services Desk, Fit Desk, in Campus Recreation, and planning birthday parties. This is her 3rd year as a TSSC staff member and her first year on Senior Staff. She is extremely excited for her role as Wellness Director this summer.

Trebek (Dustin McIlwain '08)
Activities Director

Trebek is a 4th year concurrent education student at Trent University with a joint major in history and english. You can find Trebek year round at the Trent Community Sport and Recreation Centre at the Member Services Desk and working for Campus Recreation. This is Trebek's 5th year at camp and his second year on senior staff. When the weather is fair, he can be spotted riding his bike up and down the rotary trail...make sure you give a wave!

Eckies (Frank Callaghan'10)
Leader in Training (LIT) &
Counsellor in Training (CIT) Director

ECKIES.....is.....Energetic. He lives for adventure in the outdoors and is driven to inspire youth be active and pursue their dreams and ambitions. He believes the outdoors is the perfect medium for youth to discover themselves and their abilities. Eckies is a graduate of a two year business diploma in Adventure Tourism from Algonquin College and is finishing his third year of an undergraduate degree in Outdoor Recreation at Brock University this spring. He planned and successfully executed a 6 day, 97km hike through the Andes Mountains along the Salcantay Trail to the historic site of Machu Picchu, and a self-propelled and self-sustained cycling pilgrimage across the entire continent of Australia at age 20. This is Eckies third year at TSSC and his first year as the LIT/CIT Director and is very excited for the summer!

Doc (Adam Gagne'10)
Nature Coordinator

Doc is returning for his 3rd summer at TSSC, after completing his first year as a Biology student at Trent University. In 2010, he graduated from Fleming College with a diploma in Recreation Leisure Services, and since then has worked in various youth programs and camps in Peterborough, and in his home town of Elliot Lake. During his spare time, you will most likely find him working at the Athletic Centre, hiking trails with his Black Lab, or on the ice curling for Trent University. Doc is extremely excited for his new position and looking forward to building our nature programs at camp!

Tide (Morgan Pulchinski'10)
Sport Coordinator

Tide is a 3rd year concurrent-ed student at Trent, majoring in environmental and French studies. When she is not hanging out at the Trent ac helping out with kids programs or hosting birthday parties, you can find her splashing around in the pool with the varsity synchro team. This will be Tides 3rd year at TSSC, and her first year as Sport Coordinator. She couldn't be more excited to get the summer started!.

Pinkie (Laura Harrison ' 06)
Arts Coordinator

Pinkie is a former TSSC camper and is returning for her seventh year as a counsellor.  She has served as our Nature Coordinator, Activities Director, Program Director, and will be returning to the role of Arts Coordinator for the second season.  Pinkie graduated Teacher's College at Brock University with teachables in History And Drama in Education.  She has spent the year traveling the world with Jagger and Yookie.  She is excited about further developing the Arts programs at camp this summer!

Meet our 2011 Canoe Heads

Levi (Matt Murray '09)
Canoe Head B, C & D

Levi is a graduate from Chemistry and Biology student in the Queens Trent Concurrent Education Program. He was a proud member of the Trent Varsity Rugby team and the Peterborough Pagans Rugby team. This is Levi's fourth year at TSSC and his third year working on the canoe docks. When Levi is not paddling a canoe, you can find him fishing along the shores of the Otonabee. Levi has spent last few months working at a school in Africa. He rides his bike everywhere and is just plain pretty super awesome. He is an NLS certified lifeguard and an ORCKA Flatwater Instructor.

Leefah (Michelle Durst'11)
Canoe Head

Leefah has been studying History and Philosophy at Trent for the past 3 years. Originally, she planned to become an elementary school teacher, but once she graduates in the upcoming year, Leefah has decided to return to Trent to study Environmental Science. Although she enjoys teaching, it has always be a dream of hers to work with the little creatures of the world. (Her favorite being turtles of course!) Leefah has many unusual pets, and loves to show them off at camp. One day, she hopes to have her own reptile rescue, and educate others on the truths of owning these sorts of pets. Last summer was Leefah’s first year working at TSSC and she is extremely excited to be spending this summer on the canoe docks. She has spent her whole life swimming in various lakes and pools, and can’t wait to be splashing next to the campers all summer long!
