We Need Your Essays

Have you written a good essay lately? If so, the Academic Skills Centre encourages you to submit it for consideration to be used as a student essay model and example for our upcoming online resource: A Practical Guide to Academic Essay Writing: Thinking It Through.

 

We are planning to post one example each from the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. We are looking for good but not perfect essays. We want other students to learn from them by appreciating their strengths but also by considering how they might be improved. 

 

This offer is open to undergraduate students.  The essays will be posted anonymously with our thanks to the authors for allowing us to do so. They may be edited slightly by ASC instructors. 

 

To submit your essay, please send us an email to acdskills@trentu.ca with Thinking It Through essay submission in the subject line. In the email, tell us what course the essay was originally written for. Attach the essay to the email. Please use your Trent email to submit as proof that you are a Trent student. Deadline for submissions is February 17, 2012.
