Important Considerations:

  • Our instructors will answer your questions or offer suggestions on any of the following: structure, organization, argumentation, clear writing (grammar, style, spelling), documentation, referencing, narrowing a topic and thesis statements. We will read lab reports, essays, critical reviews and other pieces of writing. Please send assignment instructions with your work.

  • Help early on is often more effective than at the draft stage, so send in your preliminary thesis and/or an outline of your paper. Remember that questions about content should be directed to your course instructor.

  • Manage your time carefully: you will need time to read and apply suggestions before handing the assignment in. (See FAQs: I have an assignment due in two hours. Can you help me?)

  • Our goal is to help you improve the skills you need to independently edit and proofread your work.  We will read part of your paper, noting errors in grammar and style and explaining corrections. (See FAQs: Will you proofread my essay?)
