On behalf of the Board of
Directors I would like to welcome all participants to the OTC
2005 Haliburton Conference
“Share the Experience – Experience the Sharing”. We are
presenting this year’s conference in
conjunction with Haliburton and its trails
organization, The Haliburton Highlands Trails
and Tours Network. We are pleased to
be in Haliburton and we are looking
forward to a top notch event.
This year we have worked
really hard to present a world class line up of presenters
and information. One of the
fundamentals of any provincial organization is to ensure
that delegates leave our event enriched
and energized. This year we are presenting a
pre-conference workshop focused entirely on trail
building, trail design and
maintenance. These professional development
workshops are designed with the trail
professional in mind and are being presented by
Sir Sanford Fleming College , Trent
University,
OTC, and trail builders of the International Mountain Biking Association.
I would encourage you to
take an opportunity to visit with old friends while enjoying
some of Haliburton’s
trails. We have specifically set aside camp
oriented trail experiences for you! This
year’s committee has focused
on devoting outdoor time so that the
three days are interactive with
trail. I am really looking forward to
spending time with you, as we
share in the experience of our 2005
trails conference. Enjoy!
