October 5, 2006: The 2006-2007 Trails For Life grant program was released.

Trails For Life is a provincial grants program whose commitment is to provide up to $440 000 annually to support policy, research, and implementation projects with a provincial scope that address one or more of the strategic directions outlined in the Ontario Trails Strategy, which was released in 2005.

 

The Trails For Life Guidelines detail grant priorities, eligible applicants, and Ministry contact information.

 

The deadline for submission of grant applications for 2006-2007 was November 20, 2006. The commitment to provide grants annually is presently slated to continue until 2009-2010.

Ontario Trails Strategy (OTS) Released.

The Ontario Ministry of Health has published the Ontario Trails Strategy, a long-term plan that outlines ways to plan, manage, promote and use trails within Ontario.
