GETTING TO PETERBROUGH

Peterborough is about 1 1/2 hour drive northeast of Toronto and 3 hours west from Ottawa.

Visitors arriving at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport may take a Coach Canada shuttle to Peterborough. Reservations must be made in advance. Organizers are in the process of arranging a conference price which will be advertised on this site.

Greyhound buses leave the Toronto downtown terminal (Bay/Dundas) for Peterborough at least 6 times a day on weekdays, and cost about $30.00 each way. Check with www.greyhound.ca for schedules and fares from Toronto and from Ottawa.

TRANSPORTATION TO PETERBOROUGH
Visitors may take a Coach Canada shuttle directly from Toronto Pearson International Airport. Shuttles must be reserved in advance by phoning Coach Canada’s Toll Free line: 1-800-461-7661 or by phoning their Peterborough phone number: 705-748-6411.

The cost of taking a shuttle decreases a lot when there is more than one person travelling. When you make your reservation, please note that you are attending the Alliances Conference at Trent University. That way, if there are multiple conference participants on the same shuttle, you will get a discount.

1 Passenger - $81.00
2 Passengers - $104.00
3 Passengers - $122.00
4 Passengers - $140.00
5 Passengers - $160.00

Private Charter up to 6 Passengers - $180.00 *prices include the 6% Goods and Services Tax

At the conference, arrangements will be made for a shared shuttle bus to Toronto Pearson International Airport after the conference ends around noon on Sunday, November 5th. This will reduce the cost for travelers. Please indicate at the Registration desk if you wish to travel on the shared shuttle on November 5th.

Ride Wanted

This message is from Dan & Mary Lou Smoke:
We will need a ride to Peterborough from Toronto, on Wed., Nov. 1st, after 4:00 or 5:00
p.m. And we can be picked up anywhere in the City that someone wants to meet us. Or we can go to their place. We have a speaking engagement with the York Regional Police. We are doing a seminar in the afternoon and we will finish up by 3:00 and then be free to travel to Peterborough and check into the Waterfront Holiday Inn by the evening. That is if we can get a ride to Peterborough. Afterwards we need to get a ride back to London on Sunday. E-mail will be more dependable. Since we are travelling this week, and next weekend, it would be more convenient.
