The Canadian
Centre for Environmental Modelling and Chemistry
Graduate Studies
Graduate students at theCEMC are enrolled in any one of three programs.
Two multi-disciplinary graduate programs unique to Trent:
the Applied Modelling and Quantitative Methods, and the Environmental and Life Sciences
graduate programs. The third option is the single-discipline study of Chemistry through a joint program with Queen's University (Kingston, Ontario).
(formerly known as the Applications of Modelling in the Natural and Social Sciences)
Modelling techniques are focal to this program since
the same techniques are often used in very different disciplines.
Discplines involved include:
chemistry, mathematics, environmental & resource studies, physics, computer studies, geography, as well as several social sciences.
The CEMC has no students currently enrolled in this program.
(formerly known as the Watershed Ecosystems Graduate Program)
In this program the focus is on gathering and interpretation
of environmentally relevant data.
Disciplines include:
biology, environmental & resource studies, and geography.
Current students:
Eva M. Webster (Ph.D. candidate)
Mark McInnes (M.Sc. candidate)
Students in this program receive a degree in Chemistry. Course work is undertaken at Queen's University in Kingston. Thesis research is performed at Trent University.
The CEMC has no students currently enrolled in this program.
